PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Newtec is looking for an experienced teammember for the embedded software engineers group. The candidate will participate in the team in the design, specification, implementation, testing and bug fixing of the full SW package for the Sat3Play Product Line.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Following activities are to be fulfilled:

1. Translate the defined architecture in a detailed design, implement and test of the components
2. Produce and execute unit and integration tests.
3. Debug problems and resolve root cause.
4.  Document code, solutions and test cases.
5. Take up ownership of a specific system component.

EXPECTED RESULTS

• Work as a team member in a software development team environment and delivery of the expected results according the planning

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Sciences or Telecommunication) with minimal 3 years of relevant experience in Telecom SW development.
• Common software design practices: modular/OO(Object Oriented) programming, reusability, unit tests, continuous integration, UML, code refactoring.
• Knowledge and experience in C and C++ development.
• Experience in Linux development
• Experienced in writing efficient code (impacting scalability, timing constraints)
• Knowledge of IP and related protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc)
• Familiar with general telecommunication concepts (eg routing, scheduling)
• Conflict and problem solving skills focusing – result driven
• Experience in team based development
• At least 1 year proven experience with a SW development process
• Written and spoken English.
