Function description:

As Technical Writer you will be working within the Product Documentation Team.

In this challenging role:

• End-to-end responsibility for a part of the product customer document portfolio. The product customer documentation is the documentation that is delivered together with the product to the customer. The activities to be performed include the definition, creation, updating, review, pre-press coordination and publishing of the documentation.
• Create the technical content of the product customer documentation both for existing and new devices starting from prototypes and engineering documentation and according to the Company's standard. The technical content consists of use cases, alarm handling, troubleshooting, features, device (installation) descriptions and other information.
• Write in a clear and structured manner with limited but sufficient information on our devices, enabling our customers to install, configure and understand our products and to perform some basic troubleshooting when needed.
• Support the product customer documentation in other business lines during workload peaks
• Contribute to the competence activities of the team in order to obtain continuous improvement 
• Interact with other departments as and when required for the correctness and the completeness of the documentation

 

 

We are recruiting for this job:

A punctual flexible and openminded team player eager to learn about our hi-tech products and acquire new technical skills. You hold a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering (Computer Sciences or Telecommunication) with preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in technical writing in a complex technological environment. You are an expert in MS-Office and have excellent command of Framemaker and Open Office.

You possess excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills and are able to perform well under stress, whilst maintaining good time and priority management. You have an entrepreneurial attitude with a 'can do' mentality. You are fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is an asset.
