SALES MANAGER, LATIN AMERICA
Summary
The Sales Manager, Latin America will be responsible for sales and growing new business in Spanish speaking countries in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for finding and selling to new and existing accounts and in-direct channels in the territory, as per established sales target,
- Prospect for new customers and maintain close contact with key customers mainly through extensive business travel, road shows, speaking engagements and trade fairs,
- Manage the day-to-day follow up of customer requests and the commercial follow up of the existing customer base,
- responsible for achieving defined qualitative and quantitative objectives and draw up a sales budget and an action plan for customer portfolio within region in close teamwork and aligned with the General Manager - Latin America, Product Line Business Development Managers, system integrators and in-direct channels,
- Develop and execute an in-direct/direct sales strategy and a vertical/horizontal market strategy,
- Develop and maintain sales pipeline and opportunities forecast,
- Play a key role in analysing and reporting customer behaviour, the positioning of competitive products and monitor the actions, sales techniques and market position of competitors,
- Analyse the customer's requirements, possibly in consultation with internal technical experts, propose appropriate technical solutions, demonstrate these or give technical presentations,
- contribute to the pre-sales activity in technical proposals which match the specific needs and requirements of customers,
- Negotiate solutions with customers, for items such as price, delivery times, shipment, payment conditions and contract,
- Monitor after-sales service and commercial coordination in close collaboration with the indirect sales channels or internal Project Manager or Customer Service Representative of the implementation and deployment phases of sold projects.
- Identify the new market requirements and provide feedback to the product and engineering team,
- Provide activity reports as required
Profile
- University degree in Industrial or Commercial Engineering with at least 5 to 10 years of proven sales experience in satellite, telecom and internet applications
- Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English in speaking and writing
- Entrepreneurial attitude with superb communication skills
- Willing to travel up to 40% of your time in Latin America
Requirements
- 5-7 years of both direct and in-direct sales management experience in a B2B environment,
- 5-7 years sales experience in selling in Latin America,
- Strong experience in satellite communications, telco and broadcast systems,
- Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred,
- Based in São Paulo,
- Brazilian national and/or have legal work permit for Brazil
