Newtec has its corporate worldwide headquarters in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. The city of Sint-Niklaas has been selected as UNICEF Solidarity City 2011. The main goal as UNICEF Solidarity City is to explain the UNICEF activities and stimulate citizens and companies in the region to support children in need around the world through various initiatives. Newtec will contribute to UNICEF through its innovation program.
As a technology company, Newtec drives on ideas and innovation. At Newtec, initiatives and ideas to improve technology and business processes are collected and filtered through an idea database. Many of these ideas have already been translated into product enhancements and successful company wide process implementations. For each idea entered in the database by Newtec personnel, Newtec contributes 20 Euro to the UNICEF initiative.
At the end of 2011 we hope to have collected a large sum of money for UNICEF in order to improve living conditions of children in need around the world and to assure their rights.
