Newtec, a world-leading innovator in the satellite and communications industry, has today announced the launch of FlexACM, a new solution that allows simple yet very efficient implementation of ACM (Adaptive Coding and Modulation) in IP trunking and IP backbone systems, at IBC2008 in Amsterdam (11-16 September). This unique solution, which is the first of its kind, allows implementation of ACM in both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations, for unidirectional as well as bidirectional links.

MENOS is a revolutionary concept that for the first time allows the Broadcasting Union and its 28 members to exchange television, radio and data in a fully automated way. MENOS is a full IP satellite based service that can support all potential transmission applications required by broadcasters.
