Topic: Next Generation Broadcast Networks: Addressing Today's and Upcoming Broadcast Challenges
As evidenced by Newtec’s recent industry survey, called “Next Generation Video Networks”, gathering responses from 270 participants worldwide, broadcasters operating today face numerous challenges which include more complex workflows, introduction of new services, increased user expectations for always-on connectivity and pressure on efficiency in both the space and ground segments. All of these result in the need for one thing – OPEX savings.
There is the need of a single scalable, flexible multiservice IP based platform assisting broadcast operators to address increasing OPEX and CAPEX challenges, while remaining agile to enable new satellite services in an ever changing world. Automatization of broadcast workflows and efficient usage of available resources are also high on the agenda. With the rapid roll-out of fiber and increasingly cheaper terrestrial services, any future proof platform will need to enable scheduling and execution of workflows end-to-end over hybrid satellite/terrestrial networks.
After years of research and development, we at Newtec are pleased to introduce a new multiservice platform, Newtec Dialog®, that contains all the traits broadcasters and service providers need in order to thrive in today’s market while increasing readiness to cope with tomorrow’s challenges.
