Description

The core of the Sat3Play system is a DVB-S2 system that enables the provisioning of both basic and complex services to consumer and business markets. The Sat3Play network system has been designed in order to be highly scalable for both traffic and management aspects, supporting a wide and growing range of data, multimedia and voice applications.

The gateway system is a modular platform for:
• “Pay-as-you-grow” modularity
• Multi-service provider management system
• Multi-gateway management system capable of
handling 20 gateways and scaling up-to 5.000.000 users
• Supporting up-to 70 carrier blades per gateway
• 15.000 users per Carrier Blade
• Carrier class degree of active redundancy

Sat3Play Architecture

The Sat3Play carrier blades provide the entire required infrastructure to receive and transmit IP data from and to the satellite terminals.

The carrier blade manages the services off ered to the customers in terms of quality of service, acceleration, compression and encryption. It provides connectivity to the Internet, private data networks, or SIP and PSTN networks.

Value added services,such as pay TV, Video-On-Demand or Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephony, can easily be implemented on the Sat3Play platform.

The carrier blade can be operated on Ka-, Ku-, C- or any other frequency band.
