As a certified business partner of Newtec for more than six years, Prodigy – a Satcom solution provider with expertise in system design, integration and maintenance – is proud to have jointly achieved with Newtec a 95% share of the DVB broadcast modulator market in China. Now, Newtec is confident it can help the region harness new High Throughput Satellite (HTS) technology.
Since we began working with Newtec in 2011, our partnership has developed through regular business, which includes many integration projects across China for broadcasters looking to install or upgrade earth stations. Fully trained and certified to sell Newtec’s professional Broadcast equipment, the agreement also brings benefits for our customers. The installation process is simplified through our own managed software offering and integration expertise reducing the complexity and, therefore, the cost and time it takes to complete a project.
Perhaps one of the biggest projects we have carried out with Newtec is for the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT), formerly known as the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT). This particular undertaking has seen hundreds of Newtec’s broadcast modulators installed for SAPPRFT, with our team handling the confirmation of the project and subsequent system integration.
For us, the efficiency gains Newtec’s broadcast modulators bring make them the optimum choice of technology on the market. Additionally, the reliability of the product has been proven time and time again, making it very popular with our customers – and sometimes harder for our sales team!
A Bright Future
Our long-term and loyal partnership with Newtec leaves us hopeful that our joint success in China’s broadcast market will continue for many years to come.
And with new satellite technology such as HTS just around the corner, promising significant opportunities in both broadcast and VSAT, we are pleased to be working with Newtec to realize innovative solutions for China’s Satcom industry in both existing and new markets.
